Long before Bolinao became a well-known destination, the site of El Pescador Resort Hotel began as a place of purpose and pride. In 1987, it was established as Pescador Village, a humble fishing community built for local volunteers who courageously protected Bolinao’s seas from illegal fishing. Led by Jesus Salvador F. Celeste, these men and women became early champions of marine conservation in the region.

On February 19, 1992, the village opened its doors to travelers as the El Pescador Village Inn — offering simple, heartfelt hospitality by the sea. It became one of the first tourist accommodations in Bolinao, helping spark the town’s rise as a coastal getaway.

By the early 2000s, the inn had grown into a full-fledged resort — now known as El Pescador Resort Hotel — offering a range of rooms, event spaces, and family-friendly amenities. To this day it is proudly family-owned and locally operated and it remains a proud symbol of Bolinao’s heritage, hospitality, and love for the sea.
